GTI stands for Global TaeKwonDo International.
The GTI was founded in March 1993 and aims to raise
the standards and proficiency of TaeKwonDo.
It is a democratically run organisation, with a
written constitution.
The committee has a Chairman and decisions are
voted on by the committee members.
The GTI follows the ITF syllabus, but actually
broke away from the TAGB in 1993.
TaeKwon-Do celebrated its 50th
Anniversary in 2005; though its teachings and techniques can be traced back
much further than this.
