Why Turtle Taekwon-Do?

GTI stands for Global TaeKwonDo International.

The GTI was founded in March 1993 and aims to raise the standards and proficiency of TaeKwonDo.

It is a democratically run organisation, with a written constitution.

The committee has a Chairman and decisions are voted on by the committee members.

The GTI follows the ITF syllabus, but actually broke away from the TAGB in 1993.

TaeKwon-Do celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2005; though its teachings and techniques can be traced back much further than this.

Many of my fellow students have used their time to help me over the years; so with this website, I hope to pay some of that back.

For those who do know the art, you may like to know that my instructor is Master Clive Harrison 7th Dan, he graded to Master status in 2005.

Master Harrison is a renowned martial artist, especially in the Midlands where he has trained and taught for some thirty years.

Master Harrison has always remained humble and I’m sure he will continue to be an inspiration to many.

I would like to thank Master Harrison for his valuable time.
