Why Turtle Taekwon-Do?

GTI Swindon TKD

The GTI’s Swindon Club was started in 1995 by Miss Sarah Nash 4th Dan.

Miss Nash had a baby at the end of 2005 and decided to hand the club over to ourselves in 2006.

The club’s Instructors are:

 Ian Fendt 3rd Dan

Ian has been training since the beginning of 2000 and became a 1st Dan Black Belt in 2003, gaining 2nd Dan in May 2005 and 3rd Dan in May 2007. Ian is CRB checked and first aid qualified.

Ian has been British and English champion in the GTI at various belt levels, but has also had great success on the open circuit as a member of the GTI Fight Club, in August 2007 he achieved gold in the ITF World Veterans Championship – he has now retired from the open circuit.

Zoey Fendt 3rd Dan

Zoey started training with her family and has had to cope with the added stresses of a degenerative spinal condition.

This website is a way to continue to give back to Taekwon-Do when training isn’t possible.

Assistant Instructors:

Lea Fendt 3rd Dan

GTI Girls Black Belt competitor of the year in both sparring and patterns for 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Now an adult and a qualified GTI Instructor.

Chris Thompson 3rd  Dan

GTI qualified Instructor.
